UCAN Re-Chord Studio's is up and running. Our purpose and goal: use the studio for youth involvement, hands on studio engineering, recording, production... better involved here, then out there on the streets...
We would like to thank: AVID AUDIO for their donation of Protools LE and the Mbox2 digital interface; Propellerhead for their donation of Reason music production software; John Cork and Cloverland for their generous donation of editing desks, equipment racks and flooring; The Homedepot for their donation of paint and supplies.
- Update 5/5/2011: We have the window installed, drywall almost finished, paint, and sound proofing.
- Update 5/9/2011: We had to move 2 walls out and reset them to accomidate the window. Our finish carpeter, Jon, is cranking out the drywall mud and putting a smooth finish on it all. We should be priming and painting by weeks end.
- Updated 5/16/2011: Jon finished all the fine details and applied the texture coat.
- Updated 5/18/2011: Primer sprayed throughout the room.
- Updated 5/24/2011: Added the paint and getting ready finish it up.
